Architecture
There is currently one VPS server that makes up the Aporkalypse world. It is hosted on iWeb and handles MySQL, the server, and apache.
- Duplicity handles daily backups of the game world to Amazon S3
- The server is running inside of build 131 of hey0's mod, plus the following plugins:
- LeafDropper
- Stargate
- LogBlock (Customized)
- And a handful of custom plugins to handle group changing, authentication, announcing world saves, 'gifts', and the ability to broadcast free-form messages to players.
- Maps are currently not practical, but there are a number of efforts underway to fix that.
- As of Dec 13, the world is made up of roughly 962,000 chunks or ~95 square miles.
