The Shroom is a giant mushroom modeled after the 1UP item from the Mario Bros series. The original intent was to create a Power-Up mushroom but the amount of red dye needed would've led to the extinction of red flowers on the entire server.
History
The Shroom was officially opened 2 December 2010, and three days later a tunnel was built to it from Volcano Highway as part of Chorizo Tunnel by fishbike. This tunnel was eventually extended southwest to a sand biome, as sand was a critical commodity at the time. Much of this tunneling was done in December 2010 and the area was fairly active during the following weeks. A tram line was installed in late March 2011 followed by a warp hub in late April 2011. Finally it was connected by NHN in July 2011.
